Production Assistant
Pell Family Farm is seeking a dependable and hardworking Production Assistant to support daily farm operations. This role involves assisting with crop production and general farm maintenance. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, thrives in a fast-paced outdoor environment, and is committed to producing high-quality agricultural products.
Key Responsibilities
Crop Production & Planning
- Planting, cultivation, and harvest
- Monitor crop health, soil conditions, irrigation, and pest and disease prevention and management practices
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Manage and supervise farm crew, production staff, and seasonal employees
Equipment & Facility Management
- Monitor fields, greenhouses, and facilites
- Coordinate maintenance and repair for tractors, tools, and equipment
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Eagerness to learn and a positive attitude
- Problem solving ability
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license
- Flexible schedule with availability for seasonal overtime or weekend work as needed

- Prior farm experience
- Prior experience operating machinery
